Be a Goddess
Also called a Goddess Party, a private, group belly dance lesson will
make your bridal event unforgettable. You and your friends, sisters, aunts
and mom will laugh and giggle your way through the basic isolations, hits,
lifts, drops, pops, locks, tucks, and sultry undulations of the dance.
By the end of your session, you'll be feeling like a sassy, sexy Goddess!
Mirabai will bring hip scarves, veils, music, and her enthusiasm for passing
along such a beautiful, healthful dance form. You provide a sound system
and adequate space for the lesson. Rates start at $150.
Breaking the Ice
Though not quite so customary in Western cultures, no Middle Eastern wedding
is complete without a belly dancer. In addition to contributing an extra
touch of feminine beauty and art to the nuptial festivities, the belly
dancer also brings a sense of joy, prosperity, and well-being. Better
yet, she also gets friends and family up out of their seats and dancing!
Mirabai will work with you to create a show most suitable to your tastes.
Props that she can add to her performance, in addition to the standard
veil and zills, are sword, cane, fans, and candelabrum. Performance rates
